Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a UX Designer for our client partner. The UX designer will create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that help customers accomplish their goals and support business outcomes. In this role, you’ll design across the end-to-end customer journey—from discovery and concepting through delivery and iteration—partnering closely with product, engineering, and research. You’ll work more independently on small-to-mid-sized initiatives, contribute to experience strategy within your space, and help elevate quality through design standards, systems, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end user experience design for small-to-mid-sized initiatives, from concept through delivery and iteration.
  • Create and iterate design artifacts including user flows, journey maps (as needed), wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Apply UX, accessibility, and design thinking principles to deliver intuitive, inclusive, and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, research, content, and stakeholders to define problems, align on outcomes, and deliver solutions.
  • Translate user needs, research insights, and business requirements into clear, usable, and desirable experiences.
  • Facilitate and participate in critiques and working sessions to align teams and improve design quality.
  • Communicate design concepts, rationale, tradeoffs, and outcomes clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Partner with researchers (or conduct lightweight research when needed) to plan studies, synthesize findings, and apply insights to improve designs.
  • Ensure designs meet usability and accessibility standards and are feasible within technical constraints.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in professional UX design.
  • Experience applying customer-centered design methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean UX) in a product or delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Ability to break down complex problems and deliver clear, actionable design solutions with increasing independence.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver small-to-mid-sized initiatives from discovery through implementation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, including the ability to influence decisions through design rationale and evidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate user research, business needs, and technical constraints into practical design outcomes.
  • Ability to design solutions that are on brand, visually effective, and aligned to both user and business goals.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and an understanding of how AI can be applied in user experience design.
