Beacon Technologies is seeking a UI/UX Designer II for our client partner. This position will plan for, identify and document standards, processes and guidance for custom applications user interfaces, specifically addressing accessibility and mobile friendly techniques. The position translates functional needs into user-friendly designs, conducts accessibility testing, and ensures applications provide consistent, responsive experience across devices and assistive technologies. This position would also review applications for meeting accessibility WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. This position will primarily work with Custom Apps Supervisors and Application Architect Lead along with collaborations with other IT staff and development teams.
To be successful, the designer will need to take initiative and own tasks or products, plan work along with being self-motivating including excellent communications, time management, listening, collaboration, problem solving and adaptability skillsets. This role will work 40 hours a week. Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to Wisconsin within 30 calendar days of start date. Local candidates preferred. Headquarters is downtown Madison, WI. Services to must be physically completed within the State of Wisconsin including during remote work. Hybrid, on a weekly basis is currently 60% remote and 40% in the office. Hybrid requirement is weekly not monthly. New contractor must start onsite for a five-day orientation/onboarding. Work cannot be conducted outside the United States.
