Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Technical Product Owner for our client partner. The Technical Product Owner (TPO) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution within the Information Technology team. This role ensures that product development aligns with strategic goals, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on end-to-end product vision—from initial concept through delivery and seamless handoff to business operations and clients. The TPO ensures that product-level objectives, benefits, timelines, and budgets are achieved while managing interdependencies, risks, and change. The TPO will also guide the organization through its Agile transformation journey, helping to mature hybrid or multi-methodology practices. This position combines product ownership with program management responsibilities to lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs within the product line, involving multiple workstreams, platforms, or departments.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align the technology product roadmap & strategy with overarching business objectives, technology innovation initiatives, and enterprise data strategies.
  • Direct high-level technology product roadmap planning, resource management, and prioritization across concurrent initiatives.
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog with clear and actionable user stories.
  • Guide the organization in maturing its Agile practices, promoting hybrid or multi-methodology approaches.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business & customer needs.
  • Monitor product performance and iterate based on data and stakeholder feedback.
  • Train internal teams on new product features, ensuring a high-quality handoff that supports operational readiness, user adoption, and sustained product success.
  • Lead organizational change management strategies and define stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product ownership or technical project/program management.
  • Experience in the financial services or payments industry preferred.
  • Familiarity in leading Agile, hybrid, or multi-methodology practices.
  • Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or PMP preferred.

  • Technical proficiency to engage with engineering teams on architecture and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Operates with high autonomy in day-to-day decisions related to product features, priorities, and program execution.
  • Strategic decisions are made in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The role is expected to influence and guide the adoption of new practices and technologies within the business segment it supports.
