Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Technical Lead for our client partner. The Manager of Software, Engineering & Automation will provide strategic and technical leadership for the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that support health insurance operations. This position will oversee the delivery of .NET-based applications and automation initiatives including - Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Business Process Management (BPM) - to streamline administrative processes, improve accuracy, and enhance service outcomes. This role will also ensure that technology strategies align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and enterprise standards while leading multidisciplinary teams in software engineering and automation delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement technology strategies for .NET-based applications and automation solutions supporting core insurance operations.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities to modernize legacy systems and optimize processes.
    • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technology designs with long-term organizational objectives.
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop teams of software engineers and automation specialists.
    • Promote a culture of technological excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
    • Collaborate with project managers and business leaders to align technology delivery with strategic timelines and operational priorities.
  • Solution Delivery and Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of technology solutions and automation programs.
    • Lead automation initiatives (RPA, BPM) that reduce manual workloads and enhance process reliability in areas of business operation.
    • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements, while minimizing downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or process automation within a healthcare or insurance organization
  • OR associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or process automation within a healthcare or insurance organization
  • OR high school equivalency with 11+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or process automation within a healthcare or insurance organization
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing technology teams
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, CMS, and state insurance compliance standards
  • Experience implementing .NET-based applications and automation technologies (RPA, BPM)
  • Experience integrating software solutions with core insurance administration systems
  • Advanced proficiency in .NET frameworks (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) and related technologies; experience with Python or scripting languages used for automation
  • Strong knowledge with automation platforms and technologies such as RPA and BPM
  • The ability to align technology initiatives with overarching business goals and market opportunities
  • Proven experience leading teams and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
