Beacon Technologies is seeking a Senior Web Developer for our client partner. Design, develop, and maintain web based computer systems, programs and integrations. Partner with Business Analysts to develop and maintain applications and databases by evaluating business needs, analyzing requirements, and developing software systems to creatively and effectively solve business problems. Establish standards and work with other developers to maintain these standards.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programming and performance analysis of new and existing business applications.
• Establishes and adheres to software development methodology.
• Helps establish and maintain a modern software deployment process.
• Analyze business related requirements for IT related projects.
• Document changes to business applications according to best practices.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience with multiple backend languages such as Node.js, Perl, Python, Ruby or Java.
• Strong understanding of software deployment mechanisms, version control and CI/CD principles.
• Knowledge of Linux based systems and experience with containerization.
• Desire to mentor and teach new skills to other developers.
• Maintain documentation and programming guidelines.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with end users and peers.
• Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Requires education as is generally acquired in four (4) years of college; or 5+ years of programming experience.
