Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for our client partner. The ideal candidate is organized, a self-starter, and experienced in working within large organizations with many stakeholders and structured processes. They will be responsible for managing three to five medium-to-small sized projects this year, as well as supporting overall portfolio reporting. These are global projects involving collaboration across all regions, though most meetings can be held during standard North America business hours. This role will be onsite in the Sun Prairie office for a few weeks during onboarding and then transition to a hybrid schedule with approximately two days per week in the office. The team currently works onsite on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it would be helpful for this person to follow the same schedule. Deliver large project initiatives within area of responsibility by supporting project implementation and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure achievement of business results and alignment with department objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage expertise to effectively advise the business by developing delivery strategy and plans to ensure appropriate coordination across multiple disciplines and timeframes and to align project delivery with business goals
  • Facilitate adherence to project management policies by developing and communicating tools and techniques needed to implement complex programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage the planning and implementation of complex initiatives by utilizing project management methodology, assigning tasks and communicating with project team members to ensure adherence to deadlines and compliance with financial requirements
  • Support the development of project team members by answering questions, providing recommendations on complex issues and sharing expertise
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers by regularly communicating, clarifying escalated inquiries and jointly resolving issues to minimize risk, meet key project milestones and ensure alignment to objectives
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value “can do” people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience

  • Manage moderately complex projects concurrently and effectively
  • Identify and gather resources and ensure future resource availability
  • Effectively and efficiently present logic, reasoning, and analysis to others
  • Appropriately prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely goal achievement

Experience:

  • Experience managing short- and long-term projects
  • Increasing levels of responsibility

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, techniques and best practices
  • Policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the business and organization
  • Advanced knowledge of business unit processes, operations and technology
