Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is hiring for a skilled Network Engineer I to work in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Description

This person is responsible for maintaining and administering a company's computer networks. Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems!

Responsibilities:

  • Installing networking technologies and supporting networks.
  • Assessing existing network configurations and makes recommendations based on product specifications.
  • Configuring equipment and software to meet business needs, trains others on the solution, and documents the solution for ongoing support.
  • Functioning as part of a team on larger projects, or individually provides the services on support visits or smaller projects.
  • Providing technical support and assists with the design of network solutions.

Requirements:

  • Requiring experience in the technical services and support field as well as experience in network administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.).
  • Network Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
