Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Lead Business Analyst for our client partner. Manage essential process documentation and lead project implementation of functional and technical solutions by collaborating with business partners and IT leadership to gather business requirements, provide expertise and guidance and help execute plans to enhance business capability, achieve results and support organizational strategic priorities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Business Analysis acumen and experience (5+ years)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently for results, as well as collaborate with a team
  • Proven ability to elicit and document requirements from senior level stakeholders both internal and external
  • Lead the Reporting workstream for the division by ensuring team delivers against project plan
  • Lead to attend key meetings representing the Reporting team, or propose a delegate, to meetings such as Quarterly PI Planning, Fortnightly Scrum of Scrums, Monthly Working Groups, Daily Reporting Team Scrums
  • Lead to attend key reporting meetings with Business users such as for requirements gathering, training, demos, review of drafts, testing and sign off, or ensure adequate representation from team
  • Lead to interpret business ask to project team, to build team understanding and ensure delivery to requirements
  • Ensure delivery of report requirement inventory for the division. This includes prioritization of requirements and creating and tracking via JIRA on delivery
  • Ensure analysis, design and translation of business requirements to developers
  • Leverage existing reports and automations from divisions that are already live on Duck Creek where possible
  • Ensure draft reports are tested prior to user testing
  • Ensure documentation for reports are complete with version control
  • Ensure accurate tracking of report development
  • Support user training as required
  • Support UAT and query resolution as required
  • Promote self-serve operating model
  • Ensure future proofing of reporting e.g. ease of handover to BAU support team and Business users
  • Ideal candidates need to have proven experience leading business-driven projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across Business, IT, and teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including PowerPoint

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience with managing a team to successful completion of requirements
  • Extremely organized person, proficient with MS Office Apps – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and with great analytical skills
  • Proven experience working with a mixed team in mixed locations
  • Insurance experience required, P&C and reinsurance knowledge preferred
  • Finance or insurance/reinsurance reporting experience required
  • JIRA experience preferred
