Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Java Developer IV for our client partner. This is a Senior Developer role with strong experience in Java, MVC pattern implementation (Struts, Spring), migrating legacy applications to modern frameworks, test automation, microservice architecture patterns, and troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to upgrades and/or modernization efforts. Candidates must be CURRENT Wisconsin residents. No relocation is allowed. This role is mostly remote (within the state of WI). However, the selected hires will need to be available to come onsite as needed, at their own expense. Our client is planning recurring in-office collaborative sessions for team members to be in the office working directly together so the ability to come into the office is necessary. The selected candidates will play a hands-on senior technologist/lead role in the analysis, technical design, development, modernization, and support of our client's applications.

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

  • Java/J2EE (10+ years)
  • Spring Boot (5+ years)
  • Micro services (4+ years)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • DevSecOps Best Practices (3+ years) including leveraging SonarQube
  • Setting up/maintaining MQ queues and application integration (4+ years)
  • Leveraging GitHub Copilot or similar GenAI based IDE tools to accelerate software development and testing practices
