Beacon Technologies is looking for a Java Developer to implement and support Enterprise APIs providing access to key business capabilities supporting our client's many operating companies as a part of our client's Integration Engineering team. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering mindset and has experience delivering APIs and services within cloud environments using multiple languages and container-based deployment models using Docker and Kubernetes. The candidate should be a problem solver who is capable of operating independently within the context of an Agile/Scrum team. The candidate should also have a strong grasp of the software delivery lifecycle and is continuously looking for and sharing ways they, their team, and the systems they implement and support may be improved.

Qualifications

• API/Web Service Development
• Java
• Experience deploying to either AWS or GCP
• Experience with Docker
• Experience Kubernetes via EKS, GKE, or Cloud Run
• Dynamo and Redis
• Some Python may be beneficial
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling
• Experience with Gitlab, or similar, for source control and CICD
• Agile/Scrum methods
• Strong ethic with respect to unit testing and test-driven-development
• Exposure to other frameworks/build tools: micronaut, quarkus, fast api, maven
