Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a talented teammate to lead our client's data governance program. Our client is a leading professional services firm delivering integrated wealth advisory, outsourcing, audit, tax, and consulting services to its clients around the country. As a Lead Data Governance Analyst, you will function as the primary Data Steward of our client's Enterprise Data Management strategy tasked to build and deliver the value proposition, data design and cross-functional consumption model for self-service analytics for our client internally and for its valuable clientele. A design with data quality, privacy, and security at the forefront. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures, be tech-savvy, put quality at the forefront and possess excellent troubleshooting skills, have demonstrable experience in building strong relationships with each cross-functional stakeholder to bring the best solutions to our customers. Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a Data Stewardship model
  • Evaluate how data is consumed, ensure metadata that is meaningful to various data consumers across our client is collected and provided
  • Develop a scalable approach to ingest, and manage metadata
  • Educate business partners on how to meet standards and ingest contextual metadata
  • Coordinate activities with Data Stewardship team which manages critical data
  • Design and improve practices involving delivery of governance work product
  • Develop timelines that enable consistent development of contextual metadata
  • Inventory data business units have and integrate its metadata capture and/or development into plans for the program
  • Partner with our Business Intelligence team to coordinate acquisition of technical metadata and the use of a platform to ingest and manage metadata
  • Responsible for scheduling and leading Data Steward meetings
  • Establish Data Governance Processes, Procedures, Guidelines, and Standards
  • Create training for educating Data Stewards and family members on Data Governance Processes, Procedures, Guidelines, and Standards

Requirements

  • Experience: Five years demonstrated experience in information governance, electronic records management, data quality, data governance, data engineering, project management and/or information governance.
  • Three years of demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
  • Two years of demonstrated ability to lead project or operation teams.
  • One year of demonstrated ability to successfully train staff.
  • Demonstrated understanding of metadata and how it supports effective use of data assets.
  • Experience in developing effective workflows to ensure consistency and quality delivery and advise Metadata management on how we can leverage our technology assets.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on Information Governance, Audit, Risk/Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Business Intelligence, or Project Management.
  • Five years of work experience in one of the disciplines to be considered in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
