Beacon is seeking a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer for our client partner. This resource will be dedicated full-time to the micro-segmentation program, supporting the continued expansion of enforcement across our client's environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing application and infrastructure traffic flows
• Designing, documenting, and implementing micro-segmentation policies
• Developing and refining enforcement rules in accordance with standards and best practices
• Collaborating with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security engineers to understand communication requirements
• Supporting migration activities, including remediation and replacement of legacy or overly permissive rules
• Participating in implementation planning, testing, and change execution

Candidate profile:

• While direct Illumio experience is highly desirable, we are primarily seeking a strong Cyber Security Engineer with a solid understanding of network security concepts and traffic analysis.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Strong understanding of network communications, application dependencies, and stateful firewall behavior
• Experience writing and implementing network security policy rules
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills
• Experience with Illumio or another micro-segmentation platform
• Experience working within large enterprise environments

Preferred order of qualification:

• Strong Cyber Security Engineering background with networking and firewall expertise
• Micro-segmentation experience using other platforms
• Illumio experience
