Job Summary

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst IV - Technical Writer for our client partner. This role will be responsible for documenting our client's current state of IT policy and procedures, identify gaps, and develop plans for updating/creating IT policy, processes and procedures. Services will lead IT policy and procedures development with subject matter experts. Services will plan, develop, and assist in the coordination and communication of new policies and procedures. Service will be involved with preparing for compliance audits, participate in the audits, and work with a team to remediate findings. The successful candidate will be highly technically competent, a consistently high producer, a good communicator, and an overall team player. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and purchasing will be notified.

Qualifications & Years of Experience:

  • Administrative/Technical Writing.
  • Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation 3.

  • Application Development and Support of CICS/DB2/COBOL/JCL Mainframe Systems: Using Changeman, CNTL-M or the like.
  • Web and client-server application development experience, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Mainframe Application Experience (SQL/COBOL/CICS/JCL/DB2).
  • Including Ability to identify and Create Test Data; Creating and Modifying Files and JCL in order to test the accuracy of System Modifications.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management, BPM, Workflow, and Scan/Capture software using products such as eDocs and Kofax Total Agility.
  • Analysis and Design of Mainframe Applications.
  • Evaluate and recommend programming languages, design tools and applications.
  • Scripting – Winbatch, VBScript, AutoIT, PowerShell, DOS Batch, etc.
  • MS Office Products 10.
  • Microsoft AD Administration Tools.
  • Active Directory Tools.
  • MS Office 2010/O365.
  • Software Packaging – Admin Studio, etc.
  • MS Windows 7/Windows 10 – System Configuration/Upgrade.
  • Change management 10.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and experience with 'agile'.

  • MVVM (Model View Model).
  • Structured Analysis and Design of Web and Client-Server applications for both transactional and batch applications.
  • WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).

  • Desktop Management Systems (LANDesk/SCCM-Patching/Software Deployment, etc.).
  • Active Directory.
  • Data flow and structure modeling.
  • Experience in data warehouse design and development.

  • Visual Basic for Apps (VBA) in MS Access 2010.
  • MVC (Model View Controller).
